Child morbidities and mortalities burden is high, especially in low- and middle-income countries. These morbidities and mortalities can be significantly reduced by optimal breastfeeding practice. However, breastfeeding practices in developing countries lag behind international recommendations. To fill this gap, numerous interventions have been undertaken, including the Baby Friendly Hospital/Health Initiative, which was developed in 1991 and revised in 2018 by UNICEF and WHO, to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding practices. But there is an implementation gap where individual steps are tested. Therefore, this research aimed to study the full package of BFHI in the study setting.
